What it cleans

C1 cleans a hospital restroom — WC, urinal, basin and floor — and records a per-fixture audit of what it cleaned, so the cleaning leaves evidence behind it. Cleaning is contact-based, scrub and squeegee, with a steam and chemical lance as an adjunct. It runs Tidewell Brain in Solo mode and reports its audit to a Crew over the site network.

Camera-free by rule

A restroom is the one room a camera cannot enter. C1 carries no camera-based occupancy or people detection: presence comes from a door interlock, a mmWave sensor and a safety lidar, fixture inference runs on the robot, and no image leaves it. This is a hard rule in the safety file rather than a setting, and we will not market it until it has been built and audited by a third party.

How it is built

A new base on the W1 platform, not the W1 chassis: the same Brain, safety controller, secure comms and signed firmware, the same dock and battery electronics, with a new wet-zone body around them. The arm, steam module and wet appliance are bought to specification; the two-path fluid architecture, the sealing and the tool heads are ours.

Status

In development, on a programme that runs to month 10 and is gated there on one question: whether C1's cleanliness score correlates with ATP and fluorescent-marker audits closely enough for a hospital infection-control team to accept it in place of a manual visual audit. If the answer is no, the programme stops. No specifications, no price and no cycle-time claim are published before that gate — see the roadmap.
